With more than twenty-five years of industry experience, Waheed Abbasi leads as Senior Vice President, Gas Services, across Europe and Africa. In his current role, he is responsible for driving operational excellence, overseeing a diverse portfolio of services and implementing innovative solutions to support and guide our customers’ operational needs. Waheed’s extensive experience encompasses Power Generation, Industrial, and Oil & Gas sectors, positioning him as a trusted leader in service delivery. Throughout his career, Waheed has successfully led the industrial applications service business in the Middle East, contributing significantly to the expansion and modernization of regional infrastructure. He has previously managed Service Operations throughout theMiddle East, Generation and Service business operations in Saudi Arabia, and specialty services business in the US and Americas region. His strategic leadership has enabled growth and transformation of the power generation industry in the Middle East. In his current capacity, Waheed is also focused on leveraging technology, enabling customer partnerships and co-creation, and mentoring emerging leaders to ensure high performing service teams across continents. Waheed holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
