Pablo Mattos is a senior professional with over 20 years of experience. He has led complex infrastructure, energy and construction
projects in international contexts, including Africa, Brazil and the United States. Throughout his career, he has distinguished himself through strong execution capabilities in demanding environments, as well as the effective management of multicultural teams and large- scale operations. He currently serves as Head of Downstream Operations at Imbono, where he is responsible for the strategic oversight of downstream operations, with a particular focus on the Cabinda Refinery, a key project for Angola’s energy sector. In this role, he has contributed to the development and consolidation of industrial solutions focused on operational efficiency, sustainability and long-term value creation. With solid expertise in project management, business development and finance, he has extensive experience in international partnerships and in the negotiation and structuring of high-value contracts, having worked with leading global companies in the engineering, energy, construction and oil & gas sectors. Throughout his career, he has led multi-million projects across energy, transport, oil & gas and infrastructure, standing out for his ability to align operational performance with economic and social impact, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the regions in which he operates. He holds executive education in finance and management, including an MBA and a Master of Finance from Hult International Business School, complemented by specialised training in project finance.
