Martin Deffontaines has served as the Vice President of Strategy within the Strategy Business Development R&D Division in Exploration Production since 2010. He began his career in 1991 in the Exploration & Production sector as a project engineer. Martin then took on roles as Field Manager in Russia and Africa before transitioning to the Department of New Ventures and Asset Management as a Negotiator. In 2008, he was appointed Managing Director of Total E&P Yemen. Martin Deffontaines is 46 years old and holds degrees from the École Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées (ENSTA) and the University of Paris VI.
