Maria Guedez is the Growth and New Opportunities Manager for ExxonMobil Angola and Executive Director for Future Projects at Esso Nigeria, with more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Since joining ExxonMobil in 2006, she has held a variety of technical, business development, strategic planning, and leadership roles across a diverse portfolio of upstream assets. Her experience includes exploration, development, and production projects in deepwater projects in Angola, Tanzania, Guyana, the Gulf of America, and Nigeria, as well as conventional operations in Chad and the United States. Maria holds degrees in Geophysical Engineering and Geoscience from Simón Bolívar University in Venezuela and the Polytechnic University of Catalunya in Spain, and completed advanced studies at Rice University in Texas.
