Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Control from the University of Salford, Manchester, United Kingdom, and a Master’s Degree in Investment Management from London City University, London, United Kingdom. José Alves do Nascimento served as Executive Board Member and CFO of Banco Económico S.A. from January 2019 to November 2022. He previously worked at Banco de Poupança e Promoção Habitacional (BPPH), where he served as Shareholders’ Representative, and at Banco de Promoção e Desenvolvimento (BPD), where he was a Member of the Executive Committee. He also worked as a Financial Consultant at QSL – Bases Logísticas e Instalações Petrolíferas for five years. Since 2023, he has served as an Executive Board Member at Banco de Fomento Angola, S.A., with direct responsibility for the following areas, Large Corporate Banking, Mid-Market Banking, Oil & Gas and Institutional Banking, Private Banking, Investment Centres and Agribusiness. He is a member of the Executive Committee, participating in the definition of the Bank’s strategy, overseeing the implementation of the Business Plan, and coordinating with supervisory bodies and regulatory authorities.
