As the CEO of Sonaref, Joaquim Kiteculo is responsible for running all facets of the business. Kiteculo has a proven executive management record and over 33 years of experience driving complex Oil and Gas Projects, ranging from Industrial facilities, Tank Farms, Marine Terminals and Refineries. Prior to joining Sonaref, Kiteculo was Sonangols ’ Director
of Strategic Major Capital Projects, with a project portfolio of some Billion dollars ranging from upstream ,midstream to downstream. Kiteculo joined Sonangol in the 1993 after completing his schoolarship sponsered by Sonangol as Junior Mechanical Engineer, and throughout his career undertook roles has both technical engineer and project manager, providing support to Sonangols ’ projects as both Subject Matter Expert and Projects Manager and Director in many Occasions, just naming some of the projects which he was acting as the leader from inception to development and construction are: Terminal oceanic of Barra do Dande, Luanda Refinery expansion, expansion Terminal Oceanic of Soyo, as Deputy of project manager for the Construction of Terminal oceanic of Lobito, Revamping of IBV 1, IBV 5, LPG Bottling Plant ICPN, LPG Bottling Plant IGL – Lobito, as project Ditector Revamping of Storage Terminal Palanca BL 3/05 offshore, Project Director of the Sonangol Logistics and supply Chain Master Plan 2007, and Engineering Manager and team member of the Master plan for Angola´s execution and construction of Petro stations across the country (plano director da Rede). Kiteculo has the highest credentials in Project Management Certification (PMP), from the Project Management Institute (Pensilvânia USA), a Masters in Business Administration from the Imperial College of London-UK and a Certification in Management Excellence from the Harvard Business School-USA.
