James is responsible for raising commodity price reporting agency Argus’ profile in Europe and Africa, with a particular focus on the crude oil, refined products and LPG sectors. He works closely with companies and governments to help them find ways to price commodities transparently and fairly.
James has been with Argus since 2004 in several editorial and business development roles, including editing European electricity and emissions market publications. In 2007-10, he was the editor of the daily Argus Crude report, managing a global team of reporters and developing new crude price
assessments. Prior to joining Argus, James worked as a teacher and as a journalist. He holds a BA in English and American Literature from Manchester University and an MA in International Journalism from London’s City University.
