With nearly three decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, Emmanuelle Garinet has established herself as a leader in Exploration and strategic transformation.
Since May 2026, she has served as Director of Exploration for the Americas and Sub-Saharan Africa at Chevron, following a distinguished career with TotalEnergies where she held leadership positions spanning exploration, strategy, portfolio management, and new ventures across Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Recognized as a proven exploration leader and oil finder, Emmanuelle has contributed to numerous major discoveries, including the landmark Venus discovery offshore Namibia, and has led Exploration portfolios that
created significant resource value and growth opportunities. Throughout her career, she has successfully managed large multidisciplinary organizations, major investment programs, and international partnerships in complex and multicultural environments. A strong advocate for innovation, she is passionate about integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence into geoscience workflows to improve decision-making and business performance. She is also a committed supporter of diversity and inclusion in the energy industry, actively mentoring future leaders and promoting the advancement of women in energy-related fields. Emmanuelle holds a master’s degree in Geological Engineering from the Geological Institute of Nancy and a master’s degree in Geophysics from IFP School in Paris.
