António Feijó
António Feijó Júnior holds a PhD in Strategic Management from Atlantic International University – USA, an MSc in Strategic Management from Atlantic International University – USA, and a Degree in Chemical Engineering from Agostinho Neto University, completed in February 1987.
He also holds an executive training certificate in "Executive Managers Education – Transition to General Manager" from London Business School (LBS).
In 1990, he completed professional training in petroleum, including Drilling Technology, Petroleum Reservoir Engineering, and Production, through the University of Texas Petroleum Extension Services in Kilgore, USA. Additionally, he has received training in Procurements, Contracts & Logistics, and other areas related to the oil sector, both within Angola and internationally.
António Feijó Júnior has many years of experience in the oil industry, both in Angola and abroad, in the public and private sectors. He began his career at Sonangol in May 1987 and has worked with operating companies such as Texaco, Chevron, Sonangol Research and Production, and Sonangol A.P.
He has participated in various oilfield operations, including chemical treatment, corrosion control, production, well drilling, water management, reservoir development, and served as Director of Procurement, Contracts, and Logistics at Sonangol Research and Production. He has also led several oil blocks as Director of Non-Petroleum Blocks and managed holdings and investments in new exploration projects and production.
Between 2014 and 2018, António Feijó Júnior was the Manager of Oil Concessions and Chairman of the Operations Committee for two oil concessions, representing the Angolan National Concessionaire, Sonangol E.P. At present, he serves as the Deputy Director General of the Institute Regulator of Petroleum Derivatives (IRDP), a position to which he was reappointed in January 2023.
He is also the author of the book Petroleum: A Globalized Industry, which is available in Angola and Portugal.
