TotalEnergies to Host Procurement Workshop at AOG 2026, Opening Access to Angolan Firms
The workshop is expected to provide local companies with greater visibility into procurement requirements, supplier qualification processes and upcoming contracting opportunities linked to TotalEnergies’ expanding offshore portfolio in Angola. As the country intensifies efforts to strengthen local content participation across the oil and gas value chain, the session offers a practical entry point for domestic companies seeking to integrate into large-scale upstream developments.
The workshop comes at a critical time for Angola’s oil and gas sector. TotalEnergies remains one of the country’s largest international operators and continues to expand its long-term offshore strategy through a combination of deepwater development, frontier exploration and lower-carbon production initiatives. At AOG 2025, the company announced plans to invest $3 billion in Angola, primarily through its Dalia Lift Extension Project.
Among the company’s flagship developments is the Kaminho Deepwater Development in Block 20/11 - the first large-scale deepwater project in Angola’s Kwanza Basin. The project, sanctioned in 2024 alongside partners Sonangol and Petronas, is designed as a low-emission offshore development featuring a zero-flaring FPSO with production capacity of 70,000 barrels per day. First oil from the project is targeted for 2028.
Beyond Kaminho, TotalEnergies continues to pursue exploration-led growth in Angola’s frontier basins while supporting the country’s broader production goals. The company has also reinforced its commitment to Angola’s upstream sector through continued participation at AOG 2026, where senior executives will engage with investors, regulators, service companies and project developers on the future of exploration and production in the country.
For Angolan businesses, the Procurement Workshop offers direct access to procurement pathways tied to multi-billion-dollar offshore developments at a time when operators are under increasing pressure to localize supply chains, improve operational efficiency and build long-term domestic capacity. Through direct engagement between operators and local suppliers, AOG 2026 continues to position itself not only as a conference platform, but as a catalyst for investment, partnerships and tangible project execution across the sector.
AOG is the largest oil and gas event in Angola. Taking place with the full support of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas; the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency; the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute; national oil company Sonangol; and the African Energy Chamber; the event is a platform to sign deals and advance Angola’s oil and gas industry.
