International Media Invited to Cover Angola’s Largest Industry Event: Angola Oil and Gas 2024
Accredited members of the media are invited to participate at the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) conference and exhibition – the premier industry event for the country’s oil and gas sector. Representing an international platform, the event features a strong line up of International Oil Companies (IOCs), regional National Oil Companies (NOCs), Angolan regulatory institutions and operators as well as internationally-recognized industry experts, all of whom will convene in Luanda to discuss pathways to Driving Exploration and Development Towards Increased Production in Angola.

Now in its fifth edition, AOG features a multi-track program which offers a comprehensive overview of emerging technologies, upcoming project developments, national priorities and challenges facing the Angolan oil and gas industry. The event features delegations from Germany, the UK, the US, Switzerland, Portugal, the UAE and many more, with companies and investors connecting in Luanda to foster partnerships and sign deals.

AOG is the largest oil and gas event in Angola. Taking place with the full support of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas; national oil company Sonangol; the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency; the African Energy Chamber; and the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute, the event is a platform to sign deals and advance Angola’s oil and gas industry.

The two-day event features a variety of panel discussions, technical presentations, one-on-one interviews and networking opportunities, building on AOG’s reputation as a high-level deal-signing platform to foster engagement among stakeholders. The first day will host opening dialogue, including a ministerial panel, on-stage interviews and deal-signings.

Day two follows with a three-track program. This includes a leadership roundtable track, featuring a discussion on regional downstream development, the role of NOCs in driving project development and emerging synergies across the oil and gas industry. The strategic track covers topics such as the key to doing business in Angola; empowering Angolan talent; frontier exploration; Angola’s rise as a gas powerhouse, and more. Additionally, the technical track explores technological innovations; improving operational efficiency; financing solutions and more.

Discussions will be led by C-level executives, government officials and industry experts. These include Bruno Jean-Richard Itoua, Minister of Hydrocarbons of the Republic of the Congo; Mike Sangster, SVP: Africa at TotalEnergies; Guido Brusco, COO of Eni; Katrina Fisher, Managing Director, ExxonMobil Angola; Adriano Mongini, CEO of Azule Energy; Anabela Marcos, General Manager, SONILS, and many more. AOG 2024 also features a pre-conference technical program, comprising workshops led by companies including SLB, S&P Global Commodity Insights, KAESO Energy Services, Wood Mackenzie and more.
