Dubai Investment Park Advances First Phase of Angola Industrial Hub
Dubai Investment Park (DIP) has joined the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2026 Conference and Exhibition as a Silver Sponsor, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Angola’s industrialization agenda through the development of a world-class industrial, logistics and mixed-use business hub.

Speaking ahead of the event, Omar Al Mesmar, Chairman of Dubai Investment Park, said the project is progressing in phases and has been designed to align with Angola’s long-term economic diversification and infrastructure development objectives.

“The Angola project continues to progress as a long-term, infrastructure-led economic platform aligned with Angola's industrialization and economic agenda,” Al Mesmar said.

Construction is currently focused on the first phase of the development, which covers approximately 1.7 million square meters. The initial phase includes dedicated industrial and logistics facilities, alongside a residential component located near the coastline.

According to Al Mesmar, the developer is working closely with Angola’s electricity and water authorities to complete key utility infrastructure, with an initial 10 MW power supply expected to be available during the first quarter of 2027. Road infrastructure is also advancing, with Phase 1A completed and construction of the Phase 1B road network scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter.

Beyond real estate development, Al Mesmar sees the project playing a strategic role in strengthening Angola’s broader energy value chain.

“Angola's oil and gas sector requires more than upstream investment,” he said. “It requires an efficient industrial and logistics base that can support operators, contractors and manufacturers providing services to the upstream industry.”

Designed as an integrated business ecosystem, Dubai Investment Park aims to provide the industrial infrastructure needed to support companies serving Angola’s expanding oil and gas market while creating new opportunities for manufacturing, logistics and related industries.

Returning to AOG, Dubai Investment Park views the conference as an important platform for strengthening relationships with government institutions, investors and industry stakeholders as the project continues to advance.

“This is the right platform,” Al Mesmar said. “It is a good opportunity for us to make the right connections with the government and investors because these are the stakeholders we are always considering. It is very important for us to be there and to show that we are here again.”
