AOG Signals New Chapter for Angolan Oil & Gas Deals: Here’s What to Expect in 2026

AOG Signals New Chapter for Angolan Oil & Gas Deals: Here’s What to Expect in 2026
Following a high-impact edition in 2025, the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) Conference and Exhibition returns to Luanda from September 9–10, with a pre-conference day on September 8. The event will convene over 3,000 delegates, 430 companies and 115 ministers and VIP speakers, arriving at a time of global market volatility to position Angola as a strategic driver of energy security, regional growth and industrialization.

With several large-scale projects underway, evolving partnerships and investment flowing toward key infrastructure, Angola’s oil and gas market is primed for sustained growth. AOG 2026 builds on these trends and the success of the 2025 event to facilitate discussions shaping Angola’s oil and gas future.

Strategic Insights

AOG 2026 comes at a moment when global oil prices and supply dynamics are increasingly fragile, motivating import-heavy markets in Asia and Europe to turn toward Africa. As one of the continent’s leading oil producers with competitive investment terms, Angola is well positioned to leverage this attention and unlock the full potential of its oil and gas resources.

The conference will bring together industry leaders, government officials, operators, financiers and technology providers to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping Angola’s oil and gas sector. Sessions will cover the full value chain, focusing on current events, strategic opportunities, and commercial pathways.

Leading Industry Voices

Hosted with the full endorsement of Angola’s Ministry of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas, ANPG, IRDP, Sonangol and the African Energy Chamber, AOG will feature a high-level lineup of government officials, C-suite executives, policymakers, operators and financiers. Representatives from TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, bp, Azule Energy and others will participate, alongside executives from APPO, GECF, AECIPA, ARDA and regional petroleum ministers, solidifying the event as the official meeting place for Angola’s oil and gas sector.

Multi-Track Agenda

AOG 2026’s multi-track agenda allows delegates to engage with highly targeted content across the entire value chain. Separate technical, strategic and roundtable tracks ensure participants access content relevant to their role. This structure moves beyond general discussion into practical, project-focused engagement, where technical challenges, financing structures and partnership models are explored in depth.

Pre-Conference Program

The pre-conference day on September 8 will set the tone for the main event with workshops, presentations and training sessions. Delegates will gain early access to key decision-makers and project information covering licensing rounds, regulatory updates, local content frameworks and investment opportunities.

Expanded Exhibition Space

The AOG exhibition returns bigger than ever, giving operators, service companies, EPC contractors, logistics providers and technology firms a platform to showcase solutions. With new exploration campaigns, redevelopment programs and infrastructure projects underway, the exhibition provides a direct interface between solution providers and project developers.

Deals and Partnerships

Ultimately, AOG is about deals. The conference consistently serves as a launchpad for project announcements, partnership agreements and investment commitments across Angola’s oil and gas sector. In 2025, seven major deals were signed, alongside billions in IOC-led investment commitments spanning partnerships, exploration agreements, collaborative initiatives and national cooperation. AOG 2026 will build on this momentum, helping to translate concept into action in Angola’s oil and gas transaction space.
