Angola’s Block 15 Partners, ANPG Sign Expansion Deal at AOG 2025

Energy major ExxonMobil and its partners on Block 15 signed an agreement with Angola’s upstream regulator the National Oil, Gas & Biofuels Agency (ANPG), expanding acreage at the block. The agreement was signed at the Angola Oil & Gas 2025 Conference and Exhibition last week.
As one of Angola’s legacy assets, Block 15 has produced over 2.6 billion barrels of oil over a 30-year period. The recent agreement aligns with efforts by the partners to unlock additional resources at the block and follows a license extension agreement signed with the ANPG in July 2025.
ExxonMobil serves as operator of Block 15, with partners including international energy companies Azule Energy and Equinor as well as Angola’s national oil company Sonangol.
