Angola’s Block 1/14 Set for First Gas This Year
Angola’s national concessionaire for the oil and gas sector the National Oil, Gas & Biofuels Agency (ANPG) has announced that it anticipates first gas from offshore Block 1/14 by this year.

The announcement was made by Paulino Jerónimo, President, ANPG on the first day of the Angola Oil & Gas 2025 conference and exhibition in Luanda on September 3

“We anticipate first gas from the block this year and are working with our partners to develop associated gas from the field,” stated Paulino Jerónimo, President, ANPG.

Gas was discovered in the Gajajeira-01 exploration well in July this year, with initial assessments suggesting gas volumes exceeding 1 trillion cubic feet.

The block is operated by international energy company Azule Energy (35%) alongside its partners Equnor (30%), Sonangol (25%) and Acrep (10%).
