Angola to Produce 1.1 Million bpd Beyond 2027

Angola to Produce 1.1 Million bpd Beyond 2027
Angola’s Secretary of State for Oil and Gas José Barosso announced that the country is currently producing 1.1 million barrels per day (bpd) of oil and plans to maintain these levels for the next three years.

The country’s output has returned to levels seen before Angola left the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries in 2023, and according to Barosso, “…our aim is at least to keep this level of production until 2027-2030.”

He explained that the country is aggressively promoting investments in exploration to increase production to 1.18 million bpd in the long-term. The country recently concluded a 12-block tender for blocks in the Lower Congo and Kwanza basins and offers opportunities across both on- and offshore acreage.
