ACREP Joins AOG 2026 as Bronze Sponsor as Onshore Exploration Gains Traction
The strategy comes as the company joins the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2026 Conference & Exhibition as a Bronze Sponsor. Taking place September 9–10 in Luanda, with a pre-conference day on September 8, AOG 2026 will provide a platform for ACREP to showcase its growing contribution to reserve growth, production recovery and domestic gas development in Angola.
ACREP's strategy focuses on unlocking resources in mature and underexplored onshore acreage. As operator of the Cabinda Norte and Cabinda Sul blocks, the company is advancing an exploration program aimed at identifying commercially viable oil and gas accumulations while further defining the production potential of both assets.
Cabinda Norte has a long exploration history, with around 20 wells previously drilled across the area. This extensive dataset provides a strong foundation for re-evaluating prospects using updated geological interpretations and modern exploration techniques. Earlier drilling resulted in marginal discoveries, confirming an active petroleum system while highlighting the need for targeted appraisal and development.
The company is also pursuing gas commercialization opportunities. ACREP has identified the Noz field in Cabinda Sul as a potential gas supply source for a proposed power project. Developing the field would monetize gas resources that might otherwise remain undeveloped while supporting industrial activity and improving electricity supply in Cabinda.
Beyond Cabinda, ACREP expanded its portfolio after securing operatorship of onshore Block KON 19 through Angola's 2023 licensing round. The award aligns with the government's strategy to strengthen the role of Angolan operators and stimulate new investment in the Kwanza Basin.
AOG 2026 will provide ACREP with an opportunity to engage technical partners, service providers and investors as it advances these projects. The company's participation reflects the growing role of indigenous operators in leading exploration, field redevelopment and gas commercialization across Angola's upstream industry.
