Advancing Exploration in Angola and Namibia
Powered by ReconAfrica
Angola is one of Africa’s established petroleum producers, with significant resource potential and continued opportunities for exploration and investment. ReconAfrica is expanding its exploration portfolio across Angola and Namibia, applying technical expertise, new datasets and regional learnings to evaluate prospective petroleum systems and identify new exploration opportunities. In Angola, ReconAfrica is advancing its technical evaluation through the integration and interpretation of geological and geochemical data. In Namibia, the presentation will examine progress within Petroleum Exploration Licence 73 (PEL 73), including the Kavango West 1X (KW1X) discovery well, production testing and evaluation of hydrocarbon-bearing intervals within the Elandshoek and Huttenberg formations. During the discussion, ReconAfrica will explain how these activities demonstrate integrated geoscience, disciplined exploration and regional knowledge transfer can support the identification and advancement of new petroleum opportunities across ReconAfrica’s African portfolio.
